16 year old girl moves in with 49 year old religious studies teacher

In Cornwall, UK, a 16 year old girl has left home and moved in with her 49 year old religious studies teacher, who is/was married, and has two children. The man has been married three times, and his third wife just left him. Perhaps because he was having sex with his 16 year old student.

The little punk left home, and sent her family an email to let them know that she will be living with her 49 year old teacher a half a mile away from her old home.

In the UK, 16 years old is the age at which a child can decide where they want to live as if they were 'an adult', and thus her family can do absolutely nothing about the situation, which must just suck.
