Alonso Bracey, ex coach convicted of molesting young boys may get new trial

Reportedly, Bracey's lawyers say that the jury was too hasty in reaching a verdict, in their 5 hour long deliberations. He says they were rushed. Bracey was found guilty of raping 3 boys and assaulting 2 others.
The judge mentioned that he did not think the jury was rushed to reach their verdict, however he granted the delay of sentencing in order to prevent any possible appeal at a later date.
Update -- 06/17/2008
Bracey was sentenced to life in prison. The judge apparently expressed slight regret that he "had to" sentence a sex offender to life in prison, saying that in his entire career he has never done so. Well, good, theres a first for everything.
