An Arizona teacher plead guilty to 3 counts of sexual conduct with an underage student today as part of a plea bargain dismissing 14 other counts. She faces up to 2 years in prison per count. Also part of her plea agreement was the permanent revocation of her teaching license, she must register as a sex offender, and she will be ordered to pay restitution to the victim. Her sentence may also include up to $150,000 in fines per count.

The victim was 16 years old at the time of the incident, and was not present for the guilty plea. The teacher was an english teacher and cheerleading coach at Paradise Valley High School. Her students plan to be at her sentencing May 9th to speak on her 'Tenderness, love, and caring'. Yes, she is caring. Her attorney is quoted as saying 'these are people she has touched.'. Possibly a bad choice of words there buddy.

Update -- 05/09/2008
Mally has been sentenced to 6 months in jail. Prosecutors were pushing for 5 years in prison, however the judge had a soft spot, citing her remorse and guilty plea.
