Band teacher Ted Johnson arrested on multiple sex charges

48 year old Ted Johnson, the band and fine arts teacher at Manassas City Public Schools in Manassas, Virginia has been accused of sexually assaulting 3 underage students. In February 2008, Johnson was arrested and charged with attempted indecent liberties with a child and misdemeanor sexual battery after being accused of sexually assaulting a 13 year old girl.

A few days afterwards, 2 other girls, aged 12 and 13 came forward with similar allegations of sex abuse. Johnson was then charged with 2 more counts of counts of aggravated sexual assault and two additional counts of custodial indecent liberties with a child.

A trial date has been set for Johnson on October 15th, 2008. It is not clear whether any of the alleged incidents were consensual or not. It is also not clear whether or not any of the 3 girls were students of Johnson's.
