Carrie O'Connor arrested for relationship with 16 year old student

Their relationship was reported by another former teacher at the school, saying that their sexual relationship started after a basketball game in which the student is quoted as saying O'Connor and he had sex in O'Connor's car and home.
Oh, it just so happens that O'Connor is the daughter of the school superintendent. That's convenient. Through many months of hearings and investigations, the Georgia Professional Standards Commission revoked both O'Connor and her mothers certifications. It is reported that O'Connor was still allowed to be actively employed by the school throughout these allegations.
The boys mother has since dropped a $2,000,000 civil lawsuit against O'Connor, her mother, and the Board of Education. She will be able to refile the civil suit in the future.
O'Connor is to stand trial either in August 2008 or February 2009.
Update -- 07/29/2008
Carrie O'Connor has had her bond revoked and has been locked back up. It is reported that the judge somehow got ahold of a tape, which features O'Connor and her alleged victim speaking to each other. As condition of her bond, O'Connor was to have no contact with the boy. Dumbass.
