Coach Matthew Lindholm accused of kissing team member

32 year old Matthew Lindholm, former coach and teacher at Central High School in Grand Junction, Colorado was arrested on charges of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, and sexual assault on a child in a position of trust as a pattern of abuse.

It is alleged Lindholm kissed and touched the girl on her legs and butt while they kissed. It is not clear whether the kiss was returned/wanted. Lindholm was released on bond, on the condition he wear a GPS ankle bracelet to monitor his whereabouts.

However, there are indications from the prosecution that Lindholm's lawyer will request that the ankle bracelet be removed at his next court hearing. No details as to why he thinks removing the GPS system is necessary or warranted.

Matthew Lindholm has pleaded guilty to attempted sexual assault. He will be sentenced October 6th, where he will face up to 6 years in prison. Lindholm will also be a sex offender for life.
