Coach Randy Sayler sentenced to 23 years in prison for molesting multiple boys
Randy Sayler, the 46 year old volunteer football coach for 9th graders at West Valley Junior High in Yakima, Washington, has been sentenced on multiple molestation charges, to a minimum of 23 years in prison. Sayler was arrested after a boy who he coached accused him of molesting him. Shortly thereafter, Sayler incurred more charges as two other young boys came forward with allegations of molestation.
Two of the boys were 13, and one was 15 years old. It is reported that the molestations occurred in Saylers home, or during road trips traveling to sporting events. One event was reported to happen while Sayler and the boy were sleeping in the same bed as the boy’s father, and Sayler’s two children. Whiskey….Tango…Foxtrot.
Eventually Sayler pleaded guilty to 5 counts of second-degree child rape, 1 count of third-degree child rape, 1 count of second-degree child molestation, 1 count of third-degree child molestation and 1 count of voyeurism. Along with that, Sayler also pleaded no contest to 1 count of first-degree child molestation.
