Creepy teacher Timothy Brumit arrested for child porn and child enticement

48 year old former english teacher at Batesburg-Leesville High School in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina has pleaded guilty to attempting to entice a person he believed to be a 13-year-old boy to engage in illicit sexual conduct and to transporting child pornography.

Brumit is facing a mandatory minimum 10 year sentence, and a maximum of life in prison. Good.

This sick bastard is accused of having a number of pictures of children involved in sexual activity, including infants being raped, according to the Assistant US Attorney, Dean Eichelberger.

Brumit is also accused of trying to have sex with what he believed to be a 13 year old boy on the internet, which was really police officers involved in a sting. It is reported that Brumit wanted to pick the boy up at his home in Virginia and take him back to South Carolina to live with Brumit, to have a sexual relationship. Brumit also allegedly sent the boy pictures and videos involving child porn.

Update -- 06/24/2008
Timothy Brumit has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. Assuming he makes it out of prison, he will be under supervision for the rest of his life, as well as a registered sex offender for the same time.
