Daniel Callan arrested for exposing himself, assaulting 5th grader

Daniel Callan, the 25 year old 5th grade teacher at St. Bernadette School in Appleton, Wisconsin was arrested on charges of 1st degree sexual assault of a child, two counts of exposing himself and one count of causing a child to view sexual activity.

It is said that Callan used a sexual-related discussion in class in order to "groom" the 10 year old boy. He then asked the boy if he knew what sex was, and when his reply was "no", Callan decided to teach the boy himself, through an illustrated book containing sexual pictures.

He then accompanied the boy to the bathroom where he exposed himself, forced the boy to expose himself, and then for the grand finale, showed the boy how to masturbate. That's good knowledge for a 10 year old to have, don't you think? (sarcasm. please don't send me any more hatemail).

Investigators believe this may not be an isolated incident. Callan was released on $15,000 bond. It is also said that during the preliminary investigation, Callan was still allowed to work in the classroom even though the school knew about the allegations and investigation. Thats not smart.
