Daniel Metroka, teacher to deaf students, sentenced for molesting children

Daniel Metroka, the 51 year old former teacher at the California School for the Deaf, has plead guilty to 4 counts of committing a lewd or lascivious act. Originally Metroka was charged with 4 counts of lewd or lascivious conduct on a child.

In exchange for his plea, prosecutors reduced the possible life sentence charges down. Metroka was sent to prison for 20 years for his crimes.

It is alleged that Metroka molested multiple victims under the age of 14. It is stated that none of the victims were students at the school, and none of the incidents took place at the school either.
