Darren Snieszko, 25 year old science teacher at Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, Florida has been arrested on one count of interference of custody for his alleged relationship with a female student.

Snieszko was accused of taking the girl on a 'field trip' to the zoo. No big deal, except this field trip consisted of just the two of them. It is alleged that Snieszko also sent the girl sexually charged messages through myspace and cell phones, as well as some emails.

The girl and her mother reported the incidents to police, and Snieszko was arrested.

Update -- 08/04/2008
Snieszko will not face criminal charges. The girls mother did not want to pursue charges. The school board found that Snieszko did not have a sexual relationship with the girls, but that his relationship and actions of taking them to Zoo, Busch Gardens, and to the movies, as inappropriate. Snieszko resigned his position on July 1st.
