English teacher John Holler gets sixth months for having sex with female student

John Holler, the 41 year old english teacher at West Hills High School in Santee, California was sentenced to 6 months in jail for having sex with his 17 year old female student.

Holler was originally arrested on two counts of rape with a foreign object, two counts of molesting a child and one count of approaching a minor for sex in November 2007. He then plead not guilty, however in February 2008 he pleaded guilty to two counts of molesting a child, and the other charges were dropped.

It is reported that Holler was investigated after students contacted local media and said that Holler was having sex with a student. Holler was very well liked among the student body, and received an award in May 2007 for just that. Voted by the students to be awesome.

Apparently, the victim and her family pleaded for leniency in Hollers sentence. Could this be another case like Randy Arias, who went to get a marriage license to marry his student, with the girls mother present? Maybe.
