Former coach Aaron Burroughs gets 16 years

37 year old Aaron Burroughs, the former volunteer football coach at Bowie High School in Bowie, Maryland has been sentenced to 16 years in prison after pleading guilty to 6 counts of sex trafficking of children and first-degree child sexual abuse.

Burroughs is accused of having sex with a 14 year old female, as well as prostituting her out to a police sergeant, among others. Burroughs is said to have met the girl while she was the manager of the team he coached. It is alleged that in 2006, Burroughs drove the girl to the home of Robert Malloy, the police sergeant who received 15 years for his involvement with the crimes, and then videotaped the girl and Malloy having sex.

Police picked the girl up performing oral sex on a man in a parking lot, when she told them that Burroughs was her pimp. After being questioned, Burroughs admitted that he had sex with the girl a number of times, and brought her there to be a prostitute.
