Former Librarian Laura Cantrell turns herself in for sex with 15 year old student

Laura Cantrell, the 40 year old former Librarian at Harrah Junior High School in Harrah, Oklahoma has turned herself in after allegations of a sexual relationship with a 15 year old male student.

Cantrell, a mother of two, was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15 year old male in 2006, occurring at her home. Cantrell has been charged with 2nd degree rape and oral sodomy. The accusations came to the school board in January, after Cantrell told a school resource officer the boy was trying to extort money from her, saying that he wanted $50 or he was going to tell of their relationship. In May Cantrell resigned.

Cantrell was released on $15,000 bond, and will be in court on September 4th.
