Fresno music teacher Jonathan Malcolm arrested for sex with student

31 year old Jonathan (Jon) Malcolm, a music teacher at University High School, in Fresno California, has been arrested and charged with molestation of a child under 18 and 2 counts of distrbuting lewd material. University High School is located on the campus of California State University.
Malcolm was put under investigation for the allegations in January 2009 after the Head of the school notified police of a possible sexual relationship between a student and a teacher at the school.
Malcolm was arrested and released on bond, after police reported that Malcolm was being cooperative in the case. Malcolm is accused of sending multiple female students lewd or pornographic images and text messages via cell phone. It is also alleged that Malcolm engaged in a sexual relationship with a former student.
Malcolm, who had worked for the school for 3 years, was fired in a unanimous decision shortly after his arrest. Malcolm has reportedly admitted to the text messages, images, and ongoing sexual relationship. A plea has not yet been made or considered.
