Georgia teacher jailed for having relationship with 19 year old

Wait, what? 19? When did the legal age of consent in Georgia get raised to 19? Well, it hasn't. Ok, so why is this teacher being charged with anything? Well because he was in a position of authority over the student.

Absolutely ridiculous is what we think here at jailbeta. At age 19, according to every government I know of, you are of clear state of mind and body to make decisions about who the hell you have sex with. Including Georgia.

What makes this story even more absurd is that the teacher is only 23. Thats a 4 year difference. My parents are 8 years apart in age. Good thing my dad wasn't a teacher, he would be in prison.

This poor sap is in jail pending a bond hearing. He was caught by a nosey ass parent and a nosey ass blabbermouth friend of the student he was having sex with. The friends parent called the school, who in turn called police.
