Gym teacher Edward Kowalsky guilty of soliciting child online

Kowalski was accused of soliciting what "he" thought was a 15 year old girl for sex on the internets. The girl was an Adrian police officer, and Kowalski was shortly arrested. When investigators searched Kowalski's home, they found no computer. However a couple hours after police left, Kowalski was spotted throwing out a bag that police found containing broken computer parts. Real american genius.
Kowalski was then found guilty by jury trial. His hot shot lawyer has now postponed his sentencing because they have a new trick up their sleeve. They believe that they will find something on the detectives computer that will prove Kowalski's innocence. A new trial will probably be requested.
Update -- 06/23/2008
Kowalski was sentenced to 6 months in jail with credit for time served. Kowalski will also be required to undergo sex offender therapy and register as a sex offender. Kowalski will also not be allowed to own or use a computer or any device that can connect to the internet. Kowalski is also ordered to pay $1,200 in fines and costs, and not have any contact with children, with the exception of family members, while under supervision.
