Kanesa Hopkins pleads and gets probation

31 year old Kanesa Hopkins, a former teacher at Westview Middle School in Goose Creek, SC has plead guilty to a reduced charge of lewd act upon a minor and received a 5 year suspended sentence with 2 years of probation.

Hopkins was originally arrested and charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor alleging she had a sexual relationship with a 14 year old female student between 2003 and 2004.

Hopkins was the girls sunday school teacher, and in 2001 the two began writing letters to each other, and by 2002 church administrators began concerned about the time that Hopkins and the girl were spending together.
