MI teacher Melissa Lavender arrested for sex with 2 students
Melissa Lavender, a 33 year old culinary teacher at South Lake High School in St. Clair Shores, MI has been arrested and charged with 2 counts of 4th degree criminal sexual conduct. It is alleged that Lavender engaged in sxual acts with 2 male students, ages 16 and 17, on a boat owned by the family of another boy, who is no longer a student of the school.
Reportedly, the boat was docked and there were 8 current and former students on board with Lavender. A witness reported the actions to police and Lavender was subsequently arrested.
Lavender, who is married with 2 children, has been released on a $25,000 bond with the conditions that she must submit to random breathalyzer tests, no alcohol or drugs, no contact with victims or witnesses, or anybody under the age of 18.
