Nathan Powell28 year old Nathan Powell, a former teacher and coach at Whitwell High School in Whitwell, Tennessee was arrested and charged with 9 counts of statutory rape by an authority figure and 9 more counts of aggravated statutory rape.

It is being reported that the alleged victims involved are two female students, however it is not clear if either of them are students or athletes of Powell. An anonymous letter came to school administrators alleging the inappropriate actions of Powell.

Powell was suspended from the school in April, and resigned shortly afterwords.
