22 year old Umesh Ramjattan, a teacher of only 1 month at MS 137 in Ozone Park, Queens, New york, pleaded guilty to charges of disseminating indecent material to minors.

Ramjattan was arrested after a parent notified the school about indecent and sexually explicit emails and instant messages their young daughter received, allegedly from Ramjattan. Is is alleged that Ramjattan gave the girls his email address and told them to contact him if they had any questions about schoolwork.

Allegedly, 3 of the young girls did, and shortly therafter, Ramjattan began sending them explicit and indecent material, including a video of Ramjattan having sex with his girlfriend.

Ramjattan was also accused of sending the girls sexual videos and text, as well as instant messaging them with inappropriate language of a sexual nature.

As part of his plea deal, Ramjattan will surrender his teaching license and computer, and be required to register as a sex offender. Ramjattan’s sentencing is set for April 20th, 2009, where he is expected to receive a 5 year probation sentence along with the other stipulations.
