Ryann Springer25 year old Ryann Springer, teacher at South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington, has been arrested on 4 counts of sexual misconduct with a minor. Springer is accused of having an ongoing sexual relationship with a 17 year old female student at the school.

Investigators were made aware of Springer after a colleague at the school informed authorities about odd behavior and inappropriate text messages between the two.

Springer is now being held in the county jail on a $250,000 bond. I should be locked up with her for not being able to find a better picture. Sorry folks, this is all I can do so far. Hopefully soon better ones will surface!

Ryann Springer has plead guilty to sexual misconduct involving a 17 year old student. She is expected to face 6-12 months in jail when she is sentenced on July 22nd, 2008.

Update — 08/05/2008
Ryann Springer has been sentenced to 6 months in jail, with credit for more than 60 days time served. The victim and his mother spoke at Springer’s sentencing, saying that did not want her to receive jail time. That worked out real well.

It is possible that Springer could serve the remainder of her sentence outside of a jail cell, through work release or even home detention. We’ll see how that plays out.
