Teacher Marsha Mote gets 4 and a half years

Marsha Mote, a 38 year old former teacher at Tyro Community Christian School, in Tyro, Kansas was sentenced to 55 months in prison, followed by an additional 3 years of probation, and sex offender registration. Mote was accused in 2007 of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, a charge she plead no contest to.

Mote was accused of sexual contact with a 14 year old female student at the school. She was arrested and subsequently released on bond. However Mote was arrested again shortly afterwords for violating her bond conditions by dropping her two daughters off at the Coffeyville Aquatic Center, for her being around minors.

Mote may have served up to 25 years in prison
