Teacher and professor Bruce Haskins sentenced to 17 years

Bruce Haskins, the former substitute teacher at North Star School District in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, as well as web design instructor at University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown will serve 17 to 34 years in prison after pleading guilty to 1 count of rape, 2 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and 1 count of filming or photographing sex acts.

Haskins is accused of molesting a girl for 9 years, starting when she was 5 years old. It is also alleged that at least one time Haskins filmed his sexual activity with the girl. In return for his guilty plea, prosecutors dropped many other charges against Haskins.
