Valynne Bowers arrested for sexual assault of 13 year old boy

39 year old Valynne Bowers, one of two Bountiful Utah teachers arrested for having sex with the same 13 year old boy, a math teacher at Bountiful Junior High School, is facing charges of forcible sodomy of a child and child rape.
It is alleged that since December of 2008, the boy and Bowers have been having a sexual relationship at Bowers’ home. Bowers came to the attention of police after another teacher at the school, Linda Richins Nef, was arrested after confessing to having sex with the same boy from October 2007 until December of 2008.
Linda Nef implicated Valynne Bowers as having sex with the boy while she was being interviewed by police. Bowers is now being held on a $20,000 bond.
