Steven SangerSteven Sanger, the 40 year old Science teacher at Byron Center High School, in Byron Center, Michigan has been found guilty by jury of attempting to photograph undergarments worn by another. That’s a first for me, what a weird charge. But it is what it sounds like.

Sanger was accused of taking a digital photograph from beneath a girls skirt, while she stood at his desk reviewing a test with him. The alleged victim was 15 year old at the time.

Sanger faced up to 5 years in prison, but it is likely that he will serve 6 months in jail, based on his lack of prior convictions, and Michigan’s wonderful sentencing guidelines points system.

Sanger will be sentenced September 30th.
