JailBETA turns 500
That's right ladies and gentlemen, Much like the web turning 5000 last week, JailBETA has turned 500 today. What do we mean, turning 500? Well, we just made our 500th active post.
What does that mean? Well that means between mid-march of 2008, and now August of 2008, we've heard of 500 teachers that have committed some sort of sex act. Whether it was raping an unwilling participant, carrying on with an unlawful sexual relationship with a student, possessing/trading child porn, or just general asshattery, all of these teachers have done something, or been accused of doing something criminal, involving the children they are supposed to be here to protect and teach.
500 (give or take, some teachers are especially awful and have more than one article here, Stephanie Ragusa for example) teachers have graced the face of this website in just under 5 months. If that is not an epidemic, I do not know what is. Something needs to be done about this, and I'm really not sure what. Perhaps...hiring teachers that do not enjoy having sex with under age students would be a good place to start.
Keep in mind, I do not hate teachers. I like teachers. In fact, I have as much respect for teachers that I do for any profession such as policeman, firemen, doctors, etc, if not more. Without them, we'd all be drooling retards. It's the teachers that take advantage of their position for the own sexual gain that pisses me off, and caused me to start, and keeps me able to maintain this website. Please, stop it.
Maybe for our 1000th article we'll have a pizza party.
