Chad Stoffel arrested for molesting multiple young boys
32 year old Chad Stoffel, a former music and math teacher at Summit Christian School in West Palm Beach, Florida has had his plea deal thrown out for the second time. Chad Stoffel was originally charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor and battery of a child.
Stoffel pleaded guilty, in his best interest, which means he does not admit to the charges, though he agrees he could be convicted of them based on evidence, to lewd and lascivious molestation, and minutes later his plea deal was rejected, because of a condition of his probation under the deal that he not live within 1,000 feet of a school, which his current home violates.
Stoffel was accused of sexually abusing numerous boys between the ages of 14 and 16 at Summit Christian School and Wellington Christian School.
Stoffel was in court again, to plead guilty, but his plea deal fell apart again after still being unable to find a place to live that does not violate the terms of his probation.
Stoffel called the sex abuse hotline on himself, and reportedly admitted to the assaults to investigators, as well as during his call. He will be back in court April 23rd, 2009.
